Alan Qi

President

Alan Qi is a senior student at St.George’s School and is gratified to serve as the President of Heart2Heart in the year 2013-2014. Alan had been an active member in Heart2Heart since grade 9, organizing bubble tea sales at the school’s boarding house and supporting past Heart2Heart banquets. He took part in the summer 2012 trip to Guiyang and also organized a trip of 15 members to Yunnan in summer 2013 where he witnessed the destitute living conditions of under-privileged children. As president, Alan wants volunteers to see the spiritual relevance and financial responsibility of the charity through firsthand experiences with the recipients of our largesse.

Sunny Wang

Executive Vice President

Sunny Wang is a student in Point Grey Secondary, currently in Grade 12. Since his first involvement with Heart2Heart, he has been deeply fascinated by this unique organization. He believes our actions not only impact underprivileged children in China, but also impact ourselves. Not only does the organization offer a limitless world for teenagers to be creative, to lead, to struggle, and to succeed, but also fosters compassion and hope in every member towards the people in society who need help. This is the organization for young people who want to make an impact in the world. Being the Point Grey branch club president last year, he was able to raise 1000 dollar through fundraising events; this year as the Executive Vice President, he is looking to contribute to improve the entire organization. Besides Heart2Heart, he is also the Point Grey student council Vice President and past Point Grey Leo club president.

Bowen Zhou

Vice President of Finance

Bowen Zhou is a grade 11 student at St.George’s School. Holding the belief that “those who are happiest are those who do the most for others”, he is passionate to make contributions to society. Bowen has been an active member in Heart2Heart since Grade 9, helping the bubble tea program at the school’s boarding house and supporting last year’s Heart2Heart banquet. He also took part in the summer trip to YunNan, which helped him to have a more comprehensive overview of the poverty condition in China. This year, Bowen is honored to be a part of the Executive Board, serving as the Vice President of Finance. He looks forward into taking care of the financial functions of the organization and ensuring funds are utilized in the most efficient manner.

Kevin Jin

Vice President of External Affairs

As a grade 12 student at St. George’s School, Kevin is excited about taking a leadership role in Heart2Heart. Kevin has been an active member of Heart2Heart since he first joined Heart2Heart in Grade. 8, and he has demonstrated his ability to take more responsibilities. He helped in fundraising and Final Banquet in 2011 and 2012, but Kevin is not satisfied with his current achievement. As Vice President of External Affairs, Kevin is looking forward to the future success of the Heart2Heart society, and is willing to try his best to help those children in rural side of China to go to school. In Kevin’s spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, snowboarding and making potteries. We sincerely believe that we will have a good time working with Kevin Jin.

Frank Pu

Vice President of External Affairs

As a grade 11 student at St. George’s School, Frank is thrilled to be able to serve as the Vice President of External Affairs. Frank had been an active member of Heart2Heart since his first year in high school. He had helped with organizing bubble tea sales in the school's boarding house with past member of the society and had shown support in every past Heart2Heart banquet since 2011. As one of the main organizers of the 2013 Heart2Heart summer charity trip to Yunnan and as a native of the province, Frank cannot find better a way to express his gratitude to the society when he saw the smiles on the faces of the impoverished children in rural China. As Vice President of External Affairs, Frank is looking forward to the future success of the society, and is confident that he will be able to fulfill his duties and use his utmost endeavors to help improve the lives of the less fortunate.

George Wen

Vice President of Internal Affairs

George is undergoing his last year at St. George’s as a senior. Wary that his high-school career was drawing to a close, George joined H2H in an attempt to impact others, even if only slightly. Being extremely sociable as well as skilled in communicating, George earned the position of VP of Internal Affairs during his third year in H2H. He considers it the utmost honor to be able to serve as an executive member for the H2H organization and will work arduously towards building a better future for the marginalized and underprivileged. Outside of the organization, George is a scholar and President of the St. George’s Art Club as well as the Head of School Arts Committee. On his free time, he enjoys jazz, art, food and the company of beautiful girls. In the future, George hopes to make an impact on the world.

Wynn Zhou

Vice President of Internal Affairs

Wynn Zhou is currently in her senior year at Crofton House School. The first time she joined H2H was in her grade 10 year and she has become an active member since. Like H2H, Wynn is passionate about providing for children around the globe who are in need of support. This year, she will do her best to assist H2H in completing its mission through contributing to the board as the Vice President of Internal Affairs. In this position, she will keep in contact with Head of schools around Vancouver to ensure progress.

Coco Yang

Vice President of Communications

Yang is a grade 12 student at York House. She first started working with Heart2Heart as Vice Head of School in grade 11 and is honored to serve on H2H Board as VP of Communications this year. Coco wishes to oversee effective communications between the Board and its members as well as plan various fundraisers. In the past, she has raised money and organized events for charities such as Variety BC, which has provided her with valuable experience in coordinating events. Coco looks forward to a successful year with H2H.

Steven Lai

Vice President of Communications

Steven Lai is a grade 11 student at St. Georges School. He has been an active member in H2H since 2010, organizing sales event in the school, and supporting past H2H banquets. Steven also participated in the summer trip to Yun Nan. After having witnessed the indigent living condition of the children, Steven devotes himself to raising more awareness and recruiting more people in to charitable organizations. Steven feels honored to take on the role of director of communication this year and looks forward to improve the life of more children in need alongside H2H's 2013-2014 Executive board.

“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you will feed him a lifetime.” Lisa believes education is inevitable in a society’s success.
As the first member in Heart2Heart who comes from White Rock, Lisa has seen Heart2Heart’s growth in reputation in the past years. Her goal this year is to bring H2H to White Rock and Surrey. She believes with dedication and hard work, H2H can influence many more students.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys giving back to the community and paying attention to current affairs. She is also sponsoring a child in China through World Vision, providing the child with proper education and improving village access.

Xin Shu is a grade 11 student at Point Grey Secondary School. She fell honored and surprised in the first year involved in Heart 2 Heart. She is a perfectionist, so she likes to make the job done perfectly. She really love China so that she wants to do something for her country although only some of the little things. She is a director of publications assistant and the head of school for Point Grey for Hanfu Culture Society.

Jay Wang

Director of Fundraising

Jay Wang is currently a grade 11 student at St. George’s school. He first joined Heart2Heart in 2011 and has been an active member since. Through his commitment to various events held by Heart2Heart, Jay helped the organization out of the best of his capability. Last summer Jay Organized and shot a detailed documentary that will be helpful in presenting and introducing our organization. Outside of the organization Jay’s personal life is enriched with music, he enjoys playing piano, drums and DJs as a part time profession. We look forward to working with Jay, as he has been selected as the director of fundraising for the 2013-2014 Heart2Heart board.

Edison is currently a grade 11 student attending St.Georges School. Edison has been an active member in Heart2Heart ever since grade 9. After being part of Heart 2 Heart for nearly 2 years, Edison became passionate about the organization and this year, is honoured to be serving as the Director of Fundraising. As the Director of Fundraising, Edison will be coordinating charity events. Edison looks forward to a productive year at Heart 2Heart, while working closely with all its members and look forward to bringing his best to the organization and making 2013-2014 a memorable and successful year.

Ian Lee

Director of Info-Technology

Ian joined Heart2Heart 4 years ago in his grade 8 year. Although he has remained a quiet participant for these 4 years, he decides to take on a leadership role entering his grade 12 year. Ian still remembers clearly the times when he worked with the bubble tea program in St.Georges' boarding house. Enjoying working with computers at school, Ian feels honoured to have the opportunity to help with the H2H IT Development in the future year.
